About the Role

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will be the face of our food and beverage services during our busy weekends, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service in a welcoming and professional manner. You will work closely with the team to maintain high standards of presentation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction, contributing directly to the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, bar, and room service areas.
• Assist with setting up and clearing food and beverage areas, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
• Take and process food and drink orders accurately and promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials to assist guests with their choices.
• Support the team in adhering to health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve minor issues with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Assist with stock control and inventory checks during shifts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a similar food and beverage or hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends and occasional public holidays.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and orders.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry.
