About the Role

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will play an essential part in ensuring our guests receive outstanding service in a friendly and welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable dining experiences that reflect the high standards of the Marriott brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests warmly and assisting with seating arrangements.
• Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serving food and beverages in line with health and safety standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of dining and service areas.
• Supporting the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handling payments and operating the till where required.
• Adhering to all food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to meet guest needs.
• Reporting any issues or feedback promptly to management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a similar role within Catering & Hospitality is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly and approachable manner with strong customer service focus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety principles is advantageous.
